Fred Kadow Alice Bierstedt Rose Loper

As result of the votes cast, Walter Schreiber, Fred Kadow, Rose Loper declared duly elected. Motion made and recorded that Schreiber act as chariman of committee. A discussion took place on various interpretations of the contract and its applications. The question of Kents request to work either half day or full day on Saturday July 5. The opinion among those present was to live up to our contract and work half day July 5. However it was suggested that the members be polled on the job and that whatever the majority desired be complied with. Members were urged to cooperate with Bro. Wood on collection of dues, by giving him their book with the money and he take it home for proper placing of dues stamps, and then return same to its owner. The Brothers from Norton Machine Works agreed to collect their dues, and have the books from their place, in Sec. Woods possession before the weekend. Discussed that the committee should see to it that proper written notice be placed on the bulletin boards the day before every regular meeting. Brother Bjurman turned over to the Lodge Fin. Sec. a check for $98.00 which was the balance left of monies collected at the time the charter application was filled out. He further accounted for, a recepts show, that he paid out $25.00 for charter application. He collected $123.00 on 41 paid applications at $3.00 per applicant. This was left a balance of $98.00 that was received by the Local Lodge from Bjurman. Brother Bjurman further instructed the elected officers to make all arrangements for the deposit on checking account in the local bank. Also as soon as the form for bonding the Fin. Secy. and Treas. arrives, it should be complied with. The meeting to be held, from now on, at the Rebecca Hall the second (2nd) and fourth (4th) Friday of the month. The meeting to start promptly at 7:30. p.m. The meeting adjourned and our next meeting which will be our first regular meeting as a chartered and functional local lodge, under the direction of our duly elected officers, will be held Friday July 11 at 7:30pm at Rebecca Hall.

Rock n' Roll Cabs - 80's
Pictured:
Dennis Simmons &
Bruce Meurer
Employees were given tee-shirts with
a Rock n' Roll Cab on the front.
The guys made their 756's costumes from the original cartons,
spray painting them red.
They added trim channels so they could rivet case trim on.
Attaching drawer front blanks with the drawer pulls,
allowed them to put drawer trim on.
A regular lock and nameplate were also attached.
The tools were made from packing material.
This picture was taken when the guys finished their boxes
which took a complete 40 hours.
Ellen Gatton and another employee
wore the 756's in the Band Day Parade.
Sure would like to know who wore the other box!
Any pictures you would like to have added? Just let me know.

TIME IN A BOTTLE
Time in a bottle is waiting for me.
The sand filling the bottle comes to you and to me.
We need to pass the torch to light some ones way.
Our union stood by us and shown us the way.
The torch seems to brighten as we take a stand.
Stand up and be counted before the last drop of sand.
So time in a bottle is waiting for me.
The sand filling the bottle comes to you and to me.
